YESTERDAY

As I am standing in the morning dew watching the sun coming up over the tree line, I feel the love of family and friends. Sometimes things don’t go as we plan, but seeing a new day dawning brings new plans and promises that we may have never imagined. I hear the birds chirping in the trees and feeling a since of happiness in their voices as they sing. I remember that God sees the sparrow as it falls I know he is watching me. You may think I am crazy, but I miss working day after day. You never know what your life will be until things change drastically. I was always healthy and working my job and taking special care of my home and family. But when you have to give it up and step into a different world you look back to the way it was. I pray that the days ahead will bring me new strength, new life and brand new promises to myself. I remind myself that tomorrow will be another day. So with this said, never look upon yesterday always look ahead. You can not change what was, but you can make what is to come the best days ever. Love your family with all your heart, make your friends feel that they are important to you, let Christ shine within your soul that you can be a light to those that are in the darkness. So you can take this little poem and do as you will. But I hope, pray and have faith that it will help you through your years. Written By: Melanie Howard Taylor

FILL ME UP!

Fill me up! Fill me up Lord, fill me up! As the troubles come fill my soul up to the brim. Let me see the good in all things, let me feel the joy once again. Fill me up Lord, fill me up! Let me fall upon my knees and talk with you about the beauty all around! Fill me up Lord, fill me up! Bring the closeness in our family that we need to press us through these trails that we face. Fill me up Lord, fill me up! Let not a day go by that we fail to lift your name on high. Fill me up Lord, fill me up! There are things in my life I do regret, forgiveness you give for each. Fill me up Lord, fill me up! Show me how to be a great wife, mother, daughter and sister today, for I praise your holy name! Fill me up Lord, fill me up! Thank you Lord for this time we have shared, thank you for your mercies they can not compare. Fill me up Lord, fill me up! Written By: Melanie H Taylor Photo By: Brian K Howard

Dark Places

I have gotten up this day and started with a cup of coffee with the man that completes my life. As he hurried off to work I found myself alone once again, but that is alright. At one time in my life I would have looked for the dark places, but I found that when you have Christ in your life there is no room for dark places. The sun is shining brightly in the sky with the ripple of clouds against a blue canvas. The breeze is blowing ever so gently through the new birth of leaves and flowers on this Spring day. I am blessed to have you in my life and in my heart. My prayer is that you would open up your mind and your heart and allow Christ to complete you also. When you think you are all alone He is standing there to guide you. Thank you Lord Jesus for all you have done in my life, what you are doing now and what you are going to do. You are my strength in this time of trouble. Amen! Written By: Melanie H Taylor

The Path Less Taken

Take a walk with me the path made get hard at times, the stones may be loose and hard to stand. The journey could be difficult, but the reward will be great. One step at a time! My life may be hard and painful, but the joys with my family and my Lord out weighs the hardships that we face. You choose the path that you and only you will take. Will it be the easy one with no curves or hills with no chance for pure joy. Or will it be the path that is less traveled with mountains and valleys and boulders in your way with a a complete life of unconditional joy and love! Take a walk with me!
